The Chicco Keyfit 30 Infant Seat and Base has a very practical design, featuring a five-point safety harness and reliable LATCH anchor; this makes it not only very secure but also easy for the parents to use when installing the seat and lifting their infant into or out of it.
Installation of the seat is via a spring-assisted leveling foot on the base, with bubble levels to indicate that the seat is correctly in position and a center-pull latch adjustment which secures it conveniently.
EPS energy-absorbing foam, used in the interior of the seat, provides excellent side- impact protection and the seat pad itself is thickly cushioned and covered with Italian woven fabric for extra comfort; the five-point safety harness can be adjusted using one hand and secures your child firmly in position.
The smooth underside of the seat ensures that it doesn’t damage the upholstery in your car, which some cheaper models can do.
Smaller children can use the Chicco KeyFit 30 Infant Seat and Base too, because it comes with a removable “newborn insert”; it can be customized further by the use of extra seat padding and a detachable head support.
